Travel Everywhere

This is going to be the beginning of something fantastic. Traveling North America has been a dream of mine for several years and something I have been working towards for what feels like a long time. This article is intended to explain just a bit about what is to be expected in the months to come and how it will change my life.

I’ve traveled through the United States on multiple occasions. My first big trip was driving my old Ford Club Wagon from Indiana to Florida, what an adventure that was. I was in no hurry to get from point A to point B so I took my time and enjoyed the trip. I could go into the events and how everything worked out but that isn’t what this article is about, it is however what this website will be about.

Later in life I wanted to do a long distance hike and couldn’t decide where to hike. With everything that was happening in my life at that time I decided west was good enough for me. I packed what I could carry into a hiking pack and hit the road west. I started in a small town called Marshall Illinois and headed west. I slept under the stars for most of the journey, once I decided to sleep under an overpass to stay out of the weather.

This was my longest hike ever, what started in Illinois had ended in Kansas. Salina Kansas to be exact. For those who don’t know the distance off the top of their head that was a 580 mile hike. From Salina I caught a ride with a truck driver that drove me to Las Vegas where I had intended to stay awhile with my brother.

Seven years I stayed in Nevada. I had intended to stay long enough to earn enough money to get myself an RV and hit the road again. As it turned out life in the big city isn’t cheap and there was never enough money to invest into what I had planned.

When 2020 came along and Las Vegas closed due to what was called a pandemic, I had lost nearly everything. I didn’t give up. I collected my things and moved back to where iw as born, Michigan.

Once in my home state I started to get things in order again. I worked when I could and saved what I could. When 2022 came around I struck gold when I found a RV for sale right in my budget.

Now I am ready to hit the road…..almost.

My plans are to start traveling North America and document the journey here on my website.

I am planning to photograph everything I can since that is the backbone of this adventure. I’m going to write here about my experiences and travels. I also plan to make great videos everyone can enjoy of all the beautiful places I visit and explore.

This website will document everything about my life during this project and I am hoping to start this fall.
