SPX – Days Gone Bye
September 14, 2024I decided what better time then the present to start this second book in the SPX series.
I was mulling over the title and how I would like to see the story progress. With the current stories line up of characters and those I hope to bring in there was a lot to consider to make the story fit into the series.
I have a few ideas on where I want to take the characters and how I want to progress the stories of these survivors. As always I don’t exactly plan what is going to happen, I like to write and move with the story flow, if it feels right…..it happens.
I have designed the cover for the newest book. Here is a peek.
If you have read the first book in the series “The Early Days” you should be expecting to see a few new characters coming into the story. I am pretty close to finishing the rewrite of “The Early Days” not a lot changed,there were some story line errors I noticed that needed fixing.
Since the book “Her Biggest Fear” has timelines that match “The Early Days” those details needed fixed in both books. I have mentioned “Her Biggest Fear” but that book will not be released until I have released “Days Gone Bye”.
“Her Biggest Fear” is one of my series novellas (Undisclosed Stories) these novellas are more or less back stories to give SPX fans more history on characters and how they became who they are now in the story.
I found it hard to create characters with an apocalypse personality from the beginning, a character needs history, what happened to each survivor makes that person who they are. I have some characters you will only find in the novellas that we might bring back into the story line at some point.
Sorry I have gone into more than anticipated. Long story short…..I am working on writing “Days Gone Bye” as early as next week I have “The Early Days up for sale in my store.
