Let’s Consider Current Events
August 22, 2024The Current Events section is an upcoming article section where I will write about current events as I witness them. I am not looking to write about everything you see on the news or read in the paper, instead I want to write about the events I see taking place through America.
I know we hear about politics and war in other countries everywhere we look these days, what I don’t see much is what is happening closer to home. I think there are a lot of stories to be told as I travel through the country and I want to listen and witness these current events.
When I think about persuing work in the field of journalism i think about news stories and not what I post about my travels and photography. The story has to be found, researched and written out after careful planning.
This website is something I have been constructing in my head for years, and as I think about what is needed for this site to be influential, I find there needs to be something more. Finding a balance of things to write about is where I am finding difficulty as I scroll the homepage. At this point I feel that the content balance is good, there isn’t much more I can add without flooding the page with random content.
